Our meeting was grounded in purpose; we were both serving the Lord together at Men of Purpose Network, a non-denominational youth-based ministry located in Ibadan. Bernice is a passionate follower of God, with a deep understanding of the Bible, a beautiful singing voice, and a well-cultured character. It took me a while to realize that this lovely package of beauty was actually meant for me. However, once my eyes were opened, I made my intentions clear and convincing. Today, I am glad to say that I have a good share from the Lord—I have found grace and obtained mercy.

I was invited to a program by one of my brothers back then in polytechnic Ibadan. The program happened to be around Christmas period, within the 23rd and 26th of December, but somehow I wasn’t okay with the invite. I later summoned courage and I went with one of my friends. Fortunately for us, the program really blessed us and we decided to go every year and later joined the ministry.

I got to know my brother some years after I joined the ministry, but we weren’t close friends, I just know him as one of our leaders that checks up once in awhile.

Long story short, Baba came to make his intentions known one faithful day but since we weren’t so close, I wasn’t expecting it and wasn’t going to pray much about it before saying No.

My Discipler’s word changed everything, she said “saying No is as important/crucial as saying Yes.” I took the proposal seriously and I started to pray about it. I got my convictions and the rest they say is history.😁

I can boldly say as well “I have a good share from the Lord—I have found grace and obtained mercy.”
